Leslie McCravy 5K Memorial Run/Walk to Benefit Pet Helpers
The Third Annual Leslie McCravy 5K Run/Walk to benefit Pet Helpers was held on
Saturday, May 14 at 8:00 am at the Folly Beach Edwin S. Taylor Pier. Leslie Leigh
McCravy was a vibrant, beautiful woman whose life unexpectedly ended on July 15th
2007. In Leslie’s honor, the proceeds from this race will benefit Pet Helpers,
a nonprofit organization that provides a safe, loving environment for stray and
unwanted animals until they are adopted. Since the creation of the race in 2009,
the Leslie McCravy 5K Run/Walk and DocuSystems has helped to raise over $30,000
to benefit the homeless pets of Charleston, South Carolina.
Founded in 1978, Pet Helpers has become an integral part of the Charleston community
by offering refuge and rehabilitation to thousands of animals each year through
adoption, foster care, humane education, lost-and-found pet services, low-cost
pay/neuter services, medical assistance and more. To date, Pet Helpers has saved
over 18,000 animals and helped spay and neuter well over 36,500 cats and dogs,
stopping the unwanted births of hundreds of thousands more! At Pet Helpers, all
pets are kept until adopted.

Team DocuSystems Raise Over $1,000!
NCP 2011 Bike MS: Breakaway to the Beach
Our team accepted the challenge to help find a cure for multiple sclerosis by
participating in the 2011 Bike MS Ride. Team DocuSystems raised over $1,000 to
help those in need. People living with MS overcome challenges everyday: to walk,
to have energy to go to the store, to have the will power not to give up. That
is why it is so important to us that we support the mission of the National Multiple
Sclerosis Society by fundraising to support research, local programs and give
hope to the 8,000 individuals living with MS in our chapter area. | |
